In a notice posted on its official website that day, DSP Media explained, “After careful discussions with the four members, we have agreed to bring KARD’s journey to a close.” They added, “We would like to express our gratitude to ‘Hidden Card’ (the fan club name) for accompanying KARD for so long,” and asked, “Please continue to offer your warm support and encouragement as the members move forward with their new paths in their respective fields.” Since beginning their pre-debut activities in December 2016, CARD has released songs such as “Hola Hola,” “Don’t Recall,” “Oh NaNa,” and “Ride on the Wind.” They gained popularity early in their career with mumbahton and tropical-style music—genres that were taking the world by storm at the time—and subsequently conducted regular tours both domestically and internationally. KARD will release their first full-length album, “Where To Now? Part.2: NOWHERE,” on the 28th. The schedule for their final tour will be announced at a later date. Their agency stated, “We hope the new album and tour, which the members have prepared with all their hearts, will remain as cherished memories for all ‘Hidden Card’ fans. We ask for your continued support for this final run, which will be filled with the very essence of KARD right up to the very end.”
