Namsung Decides on 30% Stock Split to Enhance Shareholder Value

U.S. Companies Begin Full-Scale Expansion of Mobility AI Solutions Business

Namsung announced in a regulatory filing on the 7th that it has decided to carry out a stock split, allocating 0.3 new shares for every 1 existing common share, excluding treasury stock.
The number of shares subject to this bonus issue is 3,129,707 common shares, excluding treasury stock. Accordingly, the total number of issued shares is expected to increase from the current 3,621,216 shares to 4,560,128 shares. The record date for the new share allocation is July 22, and the new shares are scheduled to be listed on August 10. The company will utilize capital surplus, specifically the share premium, to fund the issuance.
The company explained that the purpose of this move is to enhance investment accessibility by expanding the number of shares in circulation and to share the fruits of its growth with existing shareholders.
Namsung is expanding its business in automotive electronics and mobility AI solutions based on its North American distribution network. Recently, the company launched “NS DRAIVE,” a physical AI platform for vehicles, expanding its business from its existing hardware-centric model into the AI services and platforms sector.
The commercialization of AI solutions is also gaining momentum. In collaboration with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Namsung has completed the development of “NS AI LINK” technology, which connects in-vehicle mobile devices with automotive DEVICES, and has finished mass production and shipment of automotive AI DEVICES incorporating this technology. The company is preparing to sell an initial shipment worth approximately 5 billion won through 3,600 Walmart stores in the U.S. and plans to expand its online channels, primarily through Amazon.
A Namsung official stated, “This stock split was decided to increase investment accessibility and enhance shareholder value,” adding, “It reflects management’s commitment to sharing the fruits of our growth with shareholders.” The official continued, “Based on our North American distribution network and experience in the automotive electronics business, we will fully expand our mobility AI solutions business and continue to increase our corporate value by strengthening sales channels in the U.S. market and advancing our technology.”
