[E-Daily Reporter SONG YOUNG-DOO ] MEDIANA Co.,LTD(041920)is partnering with AI semiconductor company FuriosaAI and AI robotics specialist XYZ to build a hospital-based Physical AI platform. This move is seen as a strategic shift away from its core medical device manufacturing business toward securing a medical AI platform and a software-based recurring revenue model.
SELVAS AI Inc.(108860) On the 7th, its subsidiary, MEDIANA Co.,LTD, announced that it is pursuing a collaboration with FuriosaAI and XYZ to build a hospital-based Physical AI platform.
The core of this collaboration is to integrate MEDIANA Co.,LTD’s medical data and hospital infrastructure with FuriosaAI’s AI semiconductors (NPUs) and XYZ’s AI robot platform, thereby unifying AI analysis and logistics automation within hospitals into a single platform.
MEDIANA Co.,LTD is currently installing patient monitors and central patient monitoring systems (CMS) in over 4,000 hospital beds domestically and internationally, thereby securing a large volume of vital sign data. The company plans to leverage this data to expand its business scope into a hospital-based AI platform capable of real-time AI analysis within medical institutions.
The platform will incorporate FuriosaAI’s NPU-based AI inference technology. The goal is to establish an on-premise environment that enables real-time analysis of large volumes of vital data—such as electrocardiograms (ECG), blood pressure, and oxygen saturation (SpO₂)—generated within hospitals on the hospital’s internal servers.
Since data is processed within the medical institution without passing through external clouds, the company expects this will enhance the security of medical data while also enabling the creation of customized AI analysis environments tailored to each hospital. Through this, the company envisions building a “Medical Sovereign AI” ecosystem where medical institutions operate AI independently.
The results of the AI analysis will also be linked to XY’s AI robots. Under this structure, once the hospital’s AI server analyzes patient conditions and ward operations, the AI robots will perform tasks such as transporting specimens and blood samples, carrying medical supplies, managing ward logistics, and guiding patients. The company aims to implement a “Physical AI” environment that connects data analysis with actual physical tasks.
MEDIANA Co.,LTD plans to use the launch of this platform as an opportunity to accelerate its transformation from a medical device sales-focused business to an AI platform company.
The strategy is to gradually expand beyond existing medical device sales to include AI analytics software, platform licenses, and subscription-based services (SaaS), thereby increasing the proportion of recurring revenue. This signifies a shift from a one-time revenue structure centered on medical device hardware to a software-based, high-value-added business model.
Yoon Seung-hyun, President of MEDIANA Co.,LTD, stated, “We are working to build a hospital-based Physical AI platform by combining the medical data and hospital infrastructure accumulated by MEDIANA Co.,LTD with FuriosaAI’s AI semiconductors and XY’s AI robot technology.” He added, “We will establish a ‘Medical Sovereign AI’ environment where medical institutions can safely utilize AI, and we will foster the medical AI platform as a new growth engine for the company.”
