[E-Daily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] SBS’s audition project “Our Ballad” has confirmed a second season and is recruiting “Top 100” contestants.

According to SBS on the 7th, “Our Ballad 2” is accepting applications for “Top 100” contestants ahead of its first recording next month. “Our Ballad,” which aired its first season last year, gained popularity by delivering moving performances in every episode, featuring classic ballads from different eras reborn through the voices of contestants with an average age of 18.2.
The Top 12—including winner Lee Ye-ji, as well as Lee Ji-hoon, Cheon Beom-seok, Choi Eun-bin, Hong Seung-min, Song Ji-woo, Kim Yoon-i, Min Su-hyun, Lee Jun-seok, Im Ji-sung, Jeong Ji-woong, and Jeremy—were widely loved and became a major talking point, selling out concerts across the country.
SBS stated, “Once again this season, anyone—regardless of age or gender—who loves emotional pop songs or prides themselves on being the first to spot the ‘undisputed fan favorite’ can apply to be a ‘Top 100 Fan.’” They added, “The application period runs from today (the 7th) through the 26th, and detailed application instructions can be found on the official ‘Our Ballad 2’ website. “If selected through the random drawing, participants will take part in the first-round recording scheduled for the 8th and 9th of next month,” they explained.
Previously, SBS announced the show’s production confirmation, stating, “Thanks to the immense interest and love we received last year, ‘Our Ballad’ is once again seeking new protagonists. Anyone can sing South Korea’s next ‘life ballad,’ and we look forward to the participation of aspiring ballad singers with their own unique sensibilities.”
