[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] #LSK iRobot, a company specializing in AI and robot vision, announced on the 8th that it had fully repaid its 11th series of convertible bonds (CBs) worth 3 billion won. According to the company, this repayment was made using approximately 17.2 billion won in cash liquidity secured through the recent sale of non-core assets. As a result, the 11th Series CB has been fully extinguished, and the potential conversion volume of approximately 920,000 shares has also been eliminated. LSK iRobot explained that this repayment has reduced its debt and strengthened its financial stability, while also alleviating concerns about stock value dilution. Building on its strengthened financial foundation, the company plans to pursue mid- to long-term growth strategies centered on technology development at OneTouch AI—an AI application software company it recently acquired—and its robot vision business. OneTouch AI is a company that develops manufacturing and inspection automation solutions based on industrial vision AI and robot perception technology. It recently collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to showcase a demo of the “Agentic Robot Dog,” which makes autonomous decisions, and is advancing its technology development by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham in the UK for joint research on robot AI and industrial vision AI. LSK iRobot intends to accelerate investment in new businesses in the AI and robotics sectors and advance technological sophistication while maintaining a stable revenue base from its existing materials business, such as electrostatic discharge (ESD) protective films. An LSK iRobot official stated, “This conversion bond redemption is a measure to enhance financial stability and increase shareholder value,” adding, “We will expand the success of our new businesses by combining the stable revenue base of our existing materials business with iA, Inc.’s AI technology capabilities.”
