[Edaily Reporter KIM YOON-JEONG ] XIIlab Co., Ltd is surging. This is believed to be due to a surge in buying interest following news that the company signed a contract with Samsung SDS to strengthen its AI computing resource utilization capabilities.

According to MP Doctor on the 8th, as of 9:17 a.m. that day, XIIlab Co., Ltd(189330)was trading at 12,620 won, up 29.97% (2,910 won) from the previous close.
The previous day, XIIlab Co., Ltd announced that it had signed a contract with Samsung SDS worth 315,128,010,000 won for the “Project to Strengthen the Infrastructure for Utilizing AI Computing Resources.”
The contract amount represents 3,067.74% of the company’s recent revenue. The contract period runs from the previous day through December 31, 2031.
This contract is interpreted as being related to the government’s ongoing “2026 Project to Strengthen the Infrastructure for AI Computing Resource Utilization.” The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) held a briefing on the project last March and announced plans to secure approximately 15,000 of the latest graphics processing units (GPUs) this year.
The project has a budget of approximately 2.0805 trillion won, which will be allocated to the purchase of GPU servers as well as ancillary equipment such as racks, cooling systems, storage, and networking infrastructure. The GPU infrastructure will begin service this year following an initial rollout, with construction scheduled to be completed by 2027. Thereafter, the allocation and operation of computing resources for industry, academia, research institutions, and national projects are expected to continue until December 31, 2031, when the project agreement expires.
