On the 8th, the production team of SBS’s “Mountain Village Bachelor Young-woong” stated, “Thanks to the enthusiastic support from our viewers, we were able to extend the series by one episode,” adding, “We plan to densely capture the various episodes unfolding in the mountain village during the remaining episodes, so we ask for your continued anticipation and interest until the very end.”
“Mountain Village Bachelor Hero” follows Lim Young-woong, who has become a “mountain man” after crossing mountains and rivers deep in the wilderness, as he leaves behind familiar civilization to enjoy an unplanned, pollution-free life guided by his instincts. Buoyed by the popularity of Season 1, “Island Bachelor Hero,” Season 2 was produced and has been on an upward trajectory since its premiere, consistently securing both high ratings and buzz throughout its run. In the key metric of the “2049 viewership rating,” the show maintained the No. 1 spot among Tuesday variety shows for three consecutive weeks and recorded solid ratings, with the peak per-minute viewership soaring to 6.5%.
Gaining attention as a “wholesome, healing variety show,” *Mountain Village Bachelor: Youngwoong* delivers heartwarming laughter by blending singer Im Youngwoong’s unique daily life in his mountain home—a sight unlike anything seen before—with the delightful chemistry between him and his friends, which grows more prominent with each episode.
Extended to a seven-episode run, “Mountain Village Bachelor Young-woong” promises even richer storylines and the appearance of special guests. Next week’s episode will feature the wild mountain house antics of Kwak Beom, Nucksal, and Roy Kim, followed by appearances from Cha Seung-won and actor Kim Do-hoon, who previously worked together on the “Three Meals a Day” series.
“Hero of the Mountain Village” airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. on SBS.
