The “Korea Gallery Trail” is a program planned as part of the urban project “BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – LONDON” (THE CITY LONDON), which is being carried out in conjunction with BTS’s London concerts on their world tour held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the 6th and 7th (all times local).
Inspired by the sound of the King Seongdeok Bell featured in “No. 29,” the sixth track on BTS’s new album *Arirang*, the program was designed to allow visitors to appreciate artifacts from the Silla Dynasty.
From among the Korean Pavilion’s permanent exhibits, artifacts symbolizing the hope, resilience, and sense of belonging inherent in “Arirang” were selected, including △ the “Sarangbang” (a traditional Korean living room), which symbolizes a new beginning; △ the “Moon Jar,” which embodies humanity; △ the “Gold Earrings,” imbued with exquisite craftsmanship; and △ the “Sumaksae” (roof tiles), which embody cultural vitality.
Visitors can participate in the social media campaign by scanning a QR code at the entrance to the Korea Pavilion and following the instructions to tour the artifacts; they can also share the artifacts that resonate with their own lives on their social media accounts.
This program began on the 6th and will run through the 23rd. Big Hit Music stated, “We expect that BTS’s music and Korea’s cultural heritage will resonate with visitors from around the world through their personal experiences, fostering a new sense of connection.”
