SAMHYOON CO.,LTD is a company specializing in drive systems that has grown based on automotive electrification components. It considers its “3-in-1” technology—which integrates a motor, reducer, and controller into a single unit—as its core competitive advantage, and has recently been expanding its business scope into future industries such as humanoid robots, general robotics, defense, and Urban Air Mobility (AAM). “AXLON,” unveiled at the event, is a brand of actuators designed to drive the joints of humanoid robots. The company has established Korea’s first full lineup of humanoid joint actuators, comprising a total of 12 models—ranging from high-precision task-specific actuators and motion-control actuators requiring inverse kinematics to those utilizing quasi-direct drive (QDD) and linear drive mechanisms. Park Ki-won, CEO of SAMHYOON CO.,LTD, stated, “This event is not simply an occasion to unveil a single component,” adding, “It is an opportunity to showcase Korea’s first full lineup of humanoid joint actuators capable of meeting the diverse technological needs of humanoid robot manufacturers worldwide.” He emphasized, “The Axlon brand is based on mobility drive technology assets and precision control know-how accumulated over approximately 30 years; it has filed and registered 14 patents and features hardware verified for durability of over 20,000 hours.” SAMHYOON CO.,LTD also highlighted that it is expanding the technological capabilities it has accumulated in the automotive sector into the field of humanoids. CEO Park explained, “Starting with electric bicycle drive systems, we developed automotive actuators, and subsequently expanded our product lineup to include autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and, most recently, humanoid actuators.” The company also continues to invest in research and development to secure technological competitiveness. Last year, R&D investment exceeded 20% of revenue, and R&D personnel account for approximately 40% of the total workforce. CEO Park stated, “SAMHYOON CO.,LTD’s R&D investment as a percentage of revenue is about three times the average of domestic competitors, and the proportion of R&D personnel is about four times higher,” adding, “To respond quickly to the new humanoid business, we plan to increase the R&D investment ratio to 30% of revenue this year.” The company is also upgrading its production system to keep pace with the expanding humanoid market. Building on its existing smart factory infrastructure, SAMHYOON CO.,LTD plans to establish an “AX Factory” that integrates AI to advance its AI-based production system and establish a mass production system for humanoid actuators. In particular, as the company expands its customer base to include humanoids, mobility, defense, and AAM, order intake is gaining momentum, with the order backlog increasing by approximately 30% compared to the time of its initial public offering (IPO). SAMHYOON CO.,LTD plans to cultivate not only humanoids but also defense and AAM as future growth engines. The company aims to shift its business portfolio—which was previously centered on the automotive sector—toward future industries, significantly expanding the share of future businesses by 2030. CEO Park emphasized, “Although the humanoid market is still in its infancy, it is expected to experience substantial growth in the future, so it is crucial to secure a leading position in the supply chain for core drive components,” adding, “We will expand our collaboration with global robot manufacturers based on our proprietary brand, AXLON™.” At “Marketing Communication Day 2026,” SAMHYOON CO.,LTD unveiled for the first time a physical model and a live demonstration of “AXLON™ (Axis of AI Humanoid Motion),” its proprietary brand of joint actuators for humanoid robots.
