[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] LGELECTRONICS is set to target the global business-to-business (B2B) market with its new line of high-capacity commercial laundry appliances featuring artificial intelligence (AI). Starting with Europe, the company will launch the new products in key markets such as Asia and North America, targeting high-volume laundry needs at hotels, hospitals, and nursing facilities.

LGELECTRONICS announced on the 9th that it is launching “LG Professional,” its brand of high-capacity commercial laundry appliances. The product lineup consists of a total of six models, including 20-, 25-, and 30-kg washers; 25- and 30-kg dryers; and washer-dryer combos that perform both washing and drying in a single cycle.

LGELECTRONICS plans to roll out the products sequentially to major markets, starting with Europe this month, followed by Asia and North America. In particular, the company’s strategy is to actively target B2B demand in Europe—where the tourism and senior care industries are well-developed—focusing on hotels, hospitals, and nursing facilities. Market research firm SkyQuest forecasts that the global commercial laundry market will grow to approximately $10.8 billion by 2032.

The new products incorporate AI Core Tech to analyze the weight of the laundry and automatically optimize water usage and drying conditions, thereby enhancing washing performance and energy efficiency. The washing machines support high-speed spin cycles of up to 1,100 rpm to reduce drying time, while the dryers and washer-dryers feature dual inverter heat pumps to minimize power consumption and fabric damage. Additionally, the “Dynamic Ball Core System” reduces vibration and noise during high-speed spin cycles while enhancing durability.

Convenience in installation and operation has also been enhanced. The heat pump system eliminates the need for a separate exhaust duct, and a 7-inch touchscreen LCD improves user convenience. The company also provides integrated management services—including remote control, error notifications, and smart diagnostics—through “LaundryCrew,” a commercial laundry operations management platform.
