K3I. Co., Ltd. announced on the 9th that it will participate as a joint R&D partner in the “Development of Personalized Agent AI Technology” project under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s 2026 R&D program.
This project is led by the Institute for Humanities and IT Convergence at Sejong University, with NC AI, Tutorus Labs, Yonhap News TV, and DG-ITX also participating. The goal is to develop AI services that enable culturally underserved groups—such as multicultural families, North Korean defectors, and the elderly—to enjoy cultural content without language or digital barriers.
K3I. Co., Ltd. will be responsible for designing the Agent AI service structure and user experience (UX), building the front-end architecture, integrating with mobile apps, producing modular cultural experience booths, and conducting pilot tests at cultural facilities. The company plans to focus on implementing a personalized service where content delivery methods vary based on the user’s language proficiency, emotional state, and level of understanding.
This AI agent is characterized by its ability to respond to users’ states based on diagnostic and profiling capabilities, recommendations, and conversational models. The company plans to provide interactive cultural content experiences by applying emotion-recognition-based AI characters and real-time synchronization technology for facial expressions, gestures, and lip-syncing. It also intends to implement features that adjust the volume of information based on content immersion, fatigue levels, and comprehension, and switch to summary mode when necessary.
K3I. Co., Ltd. stated, “The key is to implement public cultural services based on Agent AI that reflect the user’s state,” adding, “We will expand into public cultural welfare services by leveraging our capabilities in XR, 3D content, and AI integration technologies.”
They continued, “We plan to integrate AI agents, mobile apps, and experiential spaces, and conduct pilot tests at actual cultural facilities to enhance the potential for commercialization,” adding, “We will expand the AI-based cultural services market, focusing on public institutions and local governments.”
