[E-Daily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] WAVUS(336060)announced on the 9th that it has signed a 2.645 billion won contract for the “Electrical Safety AI Platform Development Project,” commissioned by the KUKJEON, and has begun work on the project.
WAVUS will carry out this project in a consortium with WISEnut, Inc., and it will run for seven months starting this month. The goal is to build a smart administrative environment that supports AI-based operational innovation and data-driven decision-making.
WAVUS plans to apply GeoAI technology—which combines Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and artificial intelligence (AI)—to enhance the efficiency of electrical safety management and support improvements in the quality of public services.
The platform will be built as an on-premises multi-large language model (LLM) environment that complies with the National Intelligence Service’s information security and network segregation guidelines. It will operate on an internal network isolated from external networks to minimize the risk of internal data leaks and provide a stable environment for AI utilization.
The Agent AI will learn from internal data—such as KESCO’s inspection history, accident reports, and technical documents on power facilities (KESC)—to provide Agent AI services that support business trip and attendance management, Q&A for internal documents, business document drafting, and responses to public inquiries. Additionally, to reduce AI hallucination, the system will cite the sources of its responses and plans to enhance usability by integrating via APIs with the Management Information System (MIS), the internal portal (KESCO-IN), and field operations systems.
Furthermore, the service will visualize nationwide electrical safety information and statistics on a map and enable field inspectors to access technical standards and operational manuals in real time via a mobile AI service.
Kim Hak-sung, CEO of WAVUS, stated, “This project will serve as a prime example of integrating AI and GeoAI technologies while complying with public institution security standards.” He added, “As the lead contractor, we will pool the consortium’s capabilities to successfully support the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation in building its smart administrative infrastructure and lead the AI transformation in the public sector.”
