The project will run through November of next year and will receive 2 billion won in government funding. Based on its proprietary Robot Integrated Control System (CROMS), CLOBOT Co., Ltd will integrate and operate a total of seven robots across six types, including unmanned forklifts, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), industrial robots, outdoor autonomous robots, and quadruped walking robots. Through this, the company plans to implement automated logistics for radioactive waste as well as a facility surveillance and patrol system. Through this demonstration, CLOBOT Co., Ltd aims to validate the commercial viability of its integrated control platform for high-risk industrial facilities and lay the groundwork for entering the nuclear power plant decommissioning and small modular reactor (SMR) markets. Additionally, the company plans to accumulate the operational data gathered during the demonstration as a technological foundation that can be applied to domestic nuclear power plants and the global nuclear decommissioning market. A CLOBOT Co., Ltd official stated, “Through this project, we will demonstrate the competitiveness of our heterogeneous robot integrated control technology and expand our efforts to capture the market for integrated surveillance and patrol robots for large-scale industrial facilities.”
