[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] The group BTS has once again transformed a major British stadium into a K-pop stage. Following their performance at Wembley Stadium, they took over Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, reaffirming their status as the leading artists in global stadium tours.

According to their agency, Big Hit Music, on the 9th, BTS held their world tour “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN LONDON” at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, UK, on the 6th and 7th (local time), connecting with an audience of approximately 130,000 people. Tickets sold out immediately upon going on sale, and according to Live Nation, the concert’s organizer, this event set a record for the largest single-night attendance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since its opening in 2019.
For BTS, London is the “city of records.” After opening a new chapter in K-pop history in 2019 by becoming the first Korean artists to hold a solo concert at Wembley Stadium, they returned to London for the first time in about seven years and set a new attendance record at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. By etching their names into the history of both of the UK’s iconic stadiums, they once again cemented their unrivaled presence in the global concert market.
The atmosphere in London ahead of the concert was electric. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium introduced BTS as “Pop Royalty” through its official channels, and the club’s official Korean-language account welcomed fans worldwide by sharing a video of the title track “SWIM” from their fifth studio album “ARIRANG” echoing through the stadium.
The performance was overwhelming from the very start. BTS kicked off the show with “Hooligan,” a track from their fifth studio album, and then performed a string of new songs, including “NORMAL,” which sings of one’s true self in ordinary daily life, and “Body to Body,” which captures the connection and warmth between people. They then performed their signature hits—including “IDOL,” “FIRE,” “MIC Drop,” and “FYA”—nonstop, filling the stadium with raucous cheers for about three hours.

After the concert, the members expressed their gratitude, saying, “We were able to relive the emotions we felt at Wembley Stadium seven years ago,” and added, “Thanks to your passionate support, we had a truly wonderful time. We realized once again just how passionate a city London is.”
Local media also heaped praise on the group. Rolling Stone UK and The Guardian both awarded the concert a perfect 5-star rating. Rolling Stone UK likened the performance to a “coronation,” stating, “BTS has reclaimed the throne as the world’s biggest band.” It went on to praise the group, saying, “After a long wait, they delivered a masterclass of a performance to their fans.” The Guardian described the performance—a blend of dazzling fireworks and a massive stage—as “an incredibly enjoyable spectacle,” praising that “BTS’s command of the stage remains overwhelming.”
The Times awarded the concert four stars, highly praising the large-scale production that utilized the entire stadium and the special effects. Regarding the music, it noted that it was “both intense and addictive,” and conveyed the excitement of the venue by highlighting that “during the ‘MIC Drop’ and ‘FYA’ performances, the audience’s cheers shook the stadium.”
BTS will continue their European tour on the 11th and 12th at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. As the first Korean artists to perform at this venue, they are set to make history once again.
