LaonPeople Inc. Secures 27 Billion Won in Liquidity Through KAMCO’s Asset Securitization Program
Strengthening Financial Soundness Through Debt Restructuring and Securing Working Capital
“Passing KAMCO’s Review Demonstrates Management Stability and Technological Competitiveness”
[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] LaonPeople Inc.(300120)is expected to gain momentum in its growth trajectory—from securing liquidity to achieving a turnaround in earnings—after raising 27 billion won from the Korea Asset Management Corporation (hereinafter CAMCO). LaonPeople Inc., a company specializing in AI vision solutions, announced on the 10th that it has secured a total of 27 billion won in liquidity through KAMCO’s “Corporate Asset Securitization Acquisition Program,” thereby laying the foundation for mid- to long-term growth. This funding round is drawing market attention not only for securing liquidity but also because it signifies that a public financial institution has officially recognized LaonPeople Inc.’s AI capabilities and growth potential. The “Corporate Asset Securitization Acquisition Program” is a policy-based financial program that selects and supports companies with high growth potential but facing temporary liquidity pressures. LaonPeople Inc. was selected as a final recipient based on its AI vision technology, competitiveness in the generative AI business, and business sustainability. These funds will be managed at a fixed interest rate for three years without exposure to interest rate fluctuation risks and can be utilized stably for up to eight years. Along with securing substantial liquidity, signs of improving financial performance are becoming visible. LaonPeople Inc.’s revenue has been steadily increasing from 9.2 billion won in 2023 to 11.3 billion won in 2024 and 15.1 billion won in 2025, and the company returned to profitability in the fourth quarter, marking the start of a full-fledged turnaround. By introducing its proprietary inference-based Agent AI platforms and automation platforms, streamlining its organization, and reducing costs to improve its financial structure, the company has laid the groundwork for a return to profitability. Analysts note that this is particularly significant because the funding not only supports a recovery in performance but also secures the financial capacity to invest in long-term growth. Growth is also evident in the generative AI business. The company recently demonstrated its technological competitiveness by signing a supply contract with SamsungElectronics for a “smartphone video error detection solution,” and with the addition of generative AI to its existing AI vision business—including the signing of multiple supply contracts in the first half of this year alone—LaonPeople Inc.’s growth is expected to accelerate. Furthermore, the golf sensor business, a key pillar of growth, is expanding rapidly. LaonPeople Inc. is securing a stable overseas sales base by signing supply contracts with major partners in North America, Europe, and Australia. In particular, the company continued its steep growth trajectory in the first quarter, with overseas golf sensor sales alone exceeding the previous year’s total overseas revenue. Since overseas markets offer more competitive sales conditions than the domestic market and involve large-scale orders, the company anticipates further improvements in profitability going forward. In this regard, LaonPeople Inc. CEO Lee Seok-joong stated, “This funding round is a result of our company’s technological capabilities and growth potential being recognized by a credible institution,” adding, “Based on this low-interest, long-term funding, we will actively expand our generative AI and golf sensor businesses and establish a foundation for sustainable growth by simultaneously achieving earnings growth and enhancing corporate value.”
