[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] KRAFTON(259960)announced on the 10th that 10 of its papers were accepted into the main track at “ICML (International Conference on Machine Learning) 2026,” considered one of the world’s top three artificial intelligence (AI) conferences.

KRAFTON presented a total of 20 papers, including 10 in the main track and 10 in the workshop track; notably, 10 of these were accepted into the main track at ICML 2026.

These papers present research findings on core technologies of KRAFTON’s foundation models, including world models, multimodal large language models (LLMs), preference learning, inference, and optimization.

KRAFTON also hosted “AI for Games,” an AI social event for approximately 500 attendees, during ICML to foster exchange within the industry ecosystem. Co-hosted by KRAFTON and Odyssey, the event brought together around 500 academics and industry professionals working at the intersection of games and AI.

The event covered a wide range of AI research topics, from agents that learn to play, cooperate, and compete, to reinforcement learning and multi-agent techniques, as well as content, QA, tooling, pipeline automation, and the practical application of research in games.

KRAFTON has been consistently showcasing its technical capabilities at world-class AI conferences for several years. A total of 85 papers have been accepted at global conferences, including NeurIPS, the International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML), and the International Conference on Learning Representations (ICLR).

In December 2023, Krafton participated in “NeurIPS 2023,” the world’s largest AI conference, and presented five main-track papers. This represents the highest number of main-track papers among South Korean game companies and ranks third even when including overseas game companies.

In 2024, the company presented a total of 8 main-track papers at the three major AI conferences—ICLR, ICML, and NeurIPS. In 2025, it presented a total of 15 main-track papers, and 3 of the 6 papers accepted by ICLR were selected as “Spotlight” papers. As of July 2026, the company has published a total of 17 papers.

A KRAFTON spokesperson stated, “Based on our AI research achievements, we plan to take the lead in securing technological competitiveness that can contribute to actual games, while also serving as a catalyst for the expansion of the domestic game industry and AI ecosystem.”
