[Edaily Reporter Byung-ho Jang ] The housemates of “Heart Signal 5,” who are on the verge of their final selection, are heading out on their last official date. (Photo = Channel A) In Episode 14 of Channel A’s variety show “Heart Signal 5,” airing at 10 p.m. on the 14th, the male housemates will select letters written by the women they want to go on a date with and then go on their final dates.
A recently released preview shows the cast members trying to confirm their feelings for one another ahead of the final selection. Kim Min-ju has a conversation in the common room with Kim Seong-min, the man she has been most interested in, but a cold atmosphere—different from before—hangs between them.
Kim Min-ju says, “I feel like we might not end up together,” and then distances herself by adding, “You do your best until the very end, too.” Taken aback by her sudden change in attitude, Kim Seong-min, after some deliberation, goes to the female housemates’ room and calls for Kim Min-ju. During their final date, he opens up about his complicated feelings, saying, “I think I’ve felt every emotion under the sun.”
Kang Yu-kyung’s choice—after wavering between Jeong Jun-hyun and Park Woo-yeol—is also a point of interest. Kang Yu-kyung tells Kim Seo-won, “I’m still torn,” adding, “One of them is totally like a duck boat.” Having compared the reassuring Jeong Jun-hyun to a duck boat, she wonders about Park Woo-yeol, who keeps throwing her off balance: “Can I keep riding this roller coaster?”
Scenes of the housemates on their final dates are also partially revealed. Kim Min-ju bursts into laughter with her arms spread wide at the beach, while Choi So-yoon, wearing a red sweater, flashes a delighted smile upon spotting her date. Park Woo-yeol confesses his feelings, saying, “I didn’t even realize I was developing feelings.”
Kang Yu-kyung reveals her excitement by telling her date, “I think this is good. The feelings I’m having.” She then asks if he realized she was the one who wrote him a letter. Jeong Jun-hyun laughs and says, “I knew it was you the moment I saw you,” but Park Woo-yeol stops short, saying only, “As for me…” so it remains unclear who Kang Yu-kyung went on a date with.
In the latter part of the preview, a male and female housemate are shown holding hands in a car on their way back after finishing their final date. With their faces and names concealed, this scene heightens curiosity about how it might influence the final choice.
Meanwhile, “Heart Signal 5” ranked first in TV non-drama buzz on the FunDex chart for the first week of July, as announced by Good Data Corporation. It topped the Tuesday TV non-drama category for six consecutive weeks, with its buzz score increasing by 12.9% compared to the previous week. In the TV and OTT non-drama cast member buzz rankings, Park Woo-yeol and Kang Yu-kyung took first and second place, respectively.
