(Photo courtesy of FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD) FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD announced on the 13th that it has signed a definitive investment agreement to acquire a 20% stake in EuclidSoft, becoming its second-largest shareholder. This investment is a strategic move aimed at fostering collaboration in the AI platform business sector, with the goal of securing new growth engines through the integration of both companies’ technologies. The two companies plan to combine FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD’s display and hardware manufacturing capabilities with EuclidSoft’s generative AI, AI security, Agent AI, and digital twin technologies to address the “AI-native” market. This decision is based on the assessment that the AI industry is rapidly expanding beyond simple generative AI toward directly controlling devices and services, leading to rapid growth in the market for AI-based smart devices and service platforms. In particular, they intend to explore business opportunities in various fields—such as AI digital signage, smart kiosks, AI guidance systems, smart factories, and smart cities—by linking FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD.’s ongoing digital signage business with EuclidSoft’s AI platform. Targeting industries with high security demands is also identified as a key area of collaboration. The two companies expect to expand their business into sectors such as finance, public services, defense, and healthcare based on generative AI, on-device AI, and technologies optimized for on-premises environments. EuclidSoft is a company that has accumulated technological expertise by carrying out numerous national research and development (R&D) projects in the fields of generative AI, AI data platforms, digital twins, and industry-specific AI. Key projects include: △ an AI and digital twin-based city gas safety management platform; △ RaaS-based automated rural waste collection and resource management; △ AI-powered autonomous navigation drones for GPS dead zones; △ a generative AI-based digital breeding Agent AI; and △ an energy safety management platform (EnerSafe) utilizing 500 million power data records. Among these, EnerSafe is a platform based on a small language model (sLLM) for industry-specific applications that performs equipment anomaly detection, energy safety management, and efficiency analysis using over 500 million power data points, thereby supporting digital transformation in industrial settings. In addition, EuclidSoft is developing an AI security platform to ensure the safety and reliability of models required in generative AI environments, while simultaneously advancing related technologies such as AI model diagnostics, red teaming, and security audits. Through this collaboration, FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD aims to evolve transparent displays from simple display devices into AI service platforms capable of real-time interaction. The company also plans to enter the digital transformation (DX) and AI transformation (AX) markets across various industries based on Agent AI technology.
