“Young Tape” features the title track “Mr. 2026,” as well as “I Wish I’d Failed,” “I Can’t Sleep” (NO SLEEP), “I Know,” “Kawa,” “NEED U,” “0nline_x3,” “TOO SUNNY,” “Sweetttttttt;3,” “Don’t Say My Name,” “DISTANCE,” and “Pilot2.” All tracks from the album will be released at 6 p.m. today via various online music platforms. A representative from their agency, DSP Media, stated, “This album is a collection of original songs that the members of Youngpa C have been working on in their spare time since their trainee days,” adding, “Listeners will be able to feel their raw emotions and sincere energy.” The title track, “Mr. 2026,” is a reinterpretation of the hit song “Mr.” by KARA, a senior group directly under DSP Media. Drawing inspiration from the “Chipmunk” style frequently used by world-renowned hip-hop artist Kanye West, the chorus of the original song has been reworked into a trendy sound. Member Do-eun personally participated in the filming and editing of the music video, which will be released alongside the track. An agency representative expressed high hopes for the track, stating, “Youngpa maximized the kitschy vibe with boldly pitch-shifted vocal samples, upbeat synth riffs, and bouncy FX sounds.” Regarding the music video, the representative added, “The rough, grainy visuals—which look as if they were shot with a vintage camcorder—vividly capture Youngpa’s presence.”
