[E-Daily Reporter Lee So-Hyun ] Naver (NAVER(035420)) is launching an event that offers rewards for posts and comments made by Cafe users in an effort to revitalize the community.

Naver announced on the 14th that it is accepting pre-registrations from participating Cafes until the 22nd ahead of the “Tiki-Taka Cafe” event, which supports communication and information exchange among Cafe members.

This event will take place on the “Tiki-Taka Cafe” board created within Naver Cafe, where users can share their interests and information by posting messages and comments related to each cafe’s theme.

The event is open to cafes related to daily life and routine topics, such as family and parenting, lifestyle, education, pets, health and dieting, and economy and finance. Naver plans to gradually expand the range of participating topics starting with this event.

Any cafe with an activity score of 1,000 or higher is eligible to apply. Naver will review the thematic relevance and activity levels of the applying cafes and announce the selected “TikiTaka Cafes” on the 29th. The main event, in which cafe members participate, will run from the 5th to the 31st of next month.

Participating is simple: users just need to post four articles and eight comments on the TikiTaka Cafe bulletin board during the event period.

Participants who complete the requirements will be entered into a drawing for prizes totaling 200 million won, including Naver Pay points and other gifts. Users who post for the first time this year in a cafe selected as a “Tiki-Taka Cafe” will also receive a small reward.

Naver expects this event to increase participation among Cafe members and further enrich user-generated content—such as personal experiences, lifestyle information, and useful tips—tailored to each Cafe’s theme.

Cafes that demonstrate active member engagement and publish a significant amount of high-quality content during the event period will be selected as “Outstanding TikiTaka Cafes.” Outstanding cafes will receive up to 1 million won in growth support funds.

Han Jun, Naver’s UGC Community Leader, said, “We hope this TikiTaka Cafe event will encourage members to share their interests and experiences more actively, creating an environment where useful information and high-quality content naturally accumulate within the cafes,” adding, “We will continue to expand various programs that enable cafes and users to grow together.”

Meanwhile, Naver is strengthening related features and programs to revitalize the Cafe ecosystem. Last February, it launched the “Cafe Biz Center,” which allows Cafe managers to manage revenue from ads and secure transactions in one place. In May, it also introduced the “Member Rewards” feature, which allows revenue generated by Cafes to be distributed to active members. Through its AI fellowship program, “Naver Mate,” Naver is also highlighting Cafes that foster a high-quality content ecosystem based on subject-specific expertise and diversity.
