[E-Daily Reporter Hyera Lee ] BIOLOG DEVICE CO., LTD(208710), a company specializing in actuator components, announced on the 14th that it has signed a “Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Investment Commitment and Mutual Cooperation” with EdgeQ and will pursue the commercialization of next-generation cooling solutions based on bilateral precision control.

This agreement aims to simultaneously pursue strategic investment and commercialization based on EdgeQ’s quantum precision control-based cooling technology.
Quantum precision control-based cooling technology is regarded as a next-generation eco-friendly technology capable of increasing cooling efficiency while reducing or eliminating the use of refrigerants compared to conventional compression-based cooling methods. It is expected to be applied in various fields, including electric vehicle batteries, AI semiconductors, data centers, and aerospace.
PHOTON has decided to make a strategic investment in EdgeQ and plans to advance quantum cooling materials and process technologies.
This technology was developed based on core technologies from Seoul National University and the Institute for Basic Science (IBS), and EdgeQ recently secured ownership of three key patents related to the technology.
Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue investment, joint business ventures for cooling solutions, technology exchange, and joint R&D, and plan to enter the global market by further advancing the technology in the future.
Kim Jeong-wook, Chairman of PHOTON, stated, “This agreement marks the starting point for the full-scale commercialization of both companies’ technologies,” adding, “Based on our core technologies, we will lead the way in future mobility and industrial innovation.”
