This has laid the groundwork for the company to swiftly launch the service once domestic laws and regulations regarding stablecoins are established. The validation also confirmed an environment where foreign tourists can make payments using their own stablecoins without the need for separate currency exchange. The company expects this to enhance payment convenience by reducing the burden associated with currency exchange procedures, card fees, and exchange rate fluctuations. Shin Dong-hoon, CEO of GalaxiaMoneytree Co.,Ltd., stated, “This PoC validated the technical and operational elements necessary to provide the service in various offline commercial environments, such as tourism and cultural facilities, following institutionalization,” adding, “We will prepare to swiftly commercialize the stablecoin payment service in accordance with relevant regulations.”
