On the 14th, News1 reported that Tzuyu had agreed not to renew her contract with JYP and to continue participating only in activities with TWICE as a full group. In response, a JYP representative told Edaily that day that discussions regarding contract renewals with the TWICE members are still ongoing, adding, “We will make an announcement as soon as the matter is finalized.” Since their debut in October 2015, TWICE has promoted with songs such as “CHEER UP,” “TT,” “KNOCK KNOCK,” “FANCY,” and “Feel Special.” They previously renewed their contract with JYP once in July 2022. Amid this, it was reported on the 24th of last month that member Jeongyeon had a meeting to discuss a contract with an agency specializing in actors. In response, JYP stated that TWICE is currently in discussions for their second contract renewal and that they are “continuing to have careful discussions with the members.”
