SamsungElectronics(005930)and SK hynix(000660)rebounded to support the index’s bottom, and SKSQUARE(402340)also posted gains. According to MP Doctor on the 14th, the KOSPI closed at 6,856.83, up 0.73% (49.90 points) from the previous trading day. During the session, the KOSPI rose as high as 6,979.92, approaching the 7,000 mark, but gave up its gains in the afternoon, dipping as low as 6,448.86. Kang Jin-hyuk, an analyst at Shinhan Investment Securities, noted, “Among the top market-cap stocks, only SamsungElectronics, SK hynix, and SKSQUARE rose, providing support for the index’s bottom.” He added, “Although macroeconomic uncertainties persisted, bargain-hunting following the previous day’s sharp decline drove the KOSPI to a technical rebound near its 120-day moving average (6,592 points).” On the 14th, the electronic display in the trading room at Hana Bank’s headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, showed the KOSPI closing at 6,856.83, up 49.90 points (0.73%) from the previous trading day. By sector, the electrical and electronics sector rose by around 2%, and the manufacturing sector gained more than 1%. The healthcare and precision instruments sectors also posted slight gains. In contrast, the transportation equipment and parts sector fell by around 4%, while the securities and chemicals sectors dropped by more than 3%. The metals, entertainment and culture, construction, pharmaceuticals, and food, beverages, and tobacco sectors all declined by around 2%. While most of the top market-cap stocks fell, SK hynix(000660)and #SamsungElectronics rose by around 3%, and SKSQUARE(402340)rose by more than 2%. In contrast, #HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES and #HyundaiMotor fell by around 4%, while #KB Financial Group and #DOOSAN ENERBILITY dropped by more than 3%. #Samsung Life Insurance, #KIA CORPORATION, #SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS, and #SamsungElectroMechanics saw declines in the 2% range, and #LG Energy Solution, #SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION, and #ShinhanFinancialGroup Co.,Ltd. fell by more than 1%. On the KOSPI market, 219 stocks rose—including five that hit their daily upper price limit—while 662 stocks fell. No stocks hit their daily lower price limit, and 31 stocks closed unchanged. Trading volume on the KOSPI that day totaled 469.86 million shares, with a total trading value of 45.8796 trillion won. In contrast, the KOSDAQ Index closed at 783.98, down 1.92% (15.38 points) from the previous trading day. At 12:06 p.m. that day, a sell-side circuit breaker was triggered on the KOSDAQ market. This marks the 20th circuit breaker triggered so far this year (12 buy-side and 8 sell-side). Among the top market-cap stocks, declines were the norm, with #Alteogen Inc. plummeting by over 11% and #ECOPRO BM CO., LTD. falling by over 6%. #ABL Bio Inc., #ECOPRO, and others dropped by over 5%, while #Kolon TissueGene, Inc. fell by more than 4%. In contrast, #TES CO., LTD. surged by over 16%, and #PSK INC. rose by more than 10%.
