Kim Soo-hyun is scheduled to shoot a commercial for the Philippine fashion brand Bench on the 14th. His agency, Gold Medalist, had previously announced this news.
Advertising models are chosen carefully because they influence the brand’s image. Against this backdrop, some have interpreted Kim Soo-hyun’s selection as the brand’s model and his participation in the shoot as a sign that he has entered a phase of regaining the industry’s trust.
Previously, Kim Soo-hyun had to suspend his activities after the Family and Society for the Promotion of Ethics (Gaseyeon) claimed in March of last year that the late Kim Sae-ron had been in a romantic relationship with him since she was a minor and that the cause of her death was pressure from Kim Soo-hyun’s side regarding debt. The release of “Knock Off,” a Disney+ series for which filming had been completed, was also postponed.
Kim Soo-hyun’s camp dismissed Ga Se-yeon’s claims as “groundless” and initiated legal action. After approximately one year of legal battles, Ga Se-yeon’s representative, Kim Se-ui, was indicted and remanded in custody by prosecutors on charges including violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation by disseminating false information), violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes, and violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (distribution of recordings made using cameras, etc.), attempted coercion, and intimidation, and was referred to the prosecution for detention.

Recently, YouTuber Eun Hyun-jang applied for a provisional attachment on 100 million won in detention funds held by CEO Kim, who is currently in custody. Separately, Eun Hyun-jang filed a criminal complaint against CEO Kim for defamation and secured a provisional attachment on six bank accounts in CEO Kim’s name, totaling 120 million won.
