[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] CammSys Corp.(050110), a company specializing in camera module solutions that successfully returned to profitability in the first half of the year, is showing a gain in the 12% range in early trading. According to MP Doctor on the 15th, as of 9:10 a.m. today, CammSys Corp. is trading at 1,272 won, up 12.27% from the previous trading day. CammSys Corp. announced on the 15th that its consolidated operating profit for the first half of this year reached 8.7 billion won, marking a turnaround from the 6.8 billion won operating loss recorded during the same period last year. This represents an improvement of approximately 15.5 billion won compared to the same period last year. Revenue for the same period stood at 295.3 billion won, a 3.6% increase from the same period last year. The company explained that while revenue growth was modest, profitability improved significantly due to an increased share of high-value-added products and cost-saving measures. The improvement in performance was driven by expanded supply of camera modules for flagship smartphones. CammSys Corp. recently secured supply contracts for camera modules for all models in SamsungElectronics’ S series—including the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra—thereby increasing the proportion of high-margin products. The company explained that reducing the share of low-end products and optimizing the product mix to focus on flagship models contributed to the improved profitability. Production efficiency also supported the improvement in performance. The company is improving its cost structure by expanding automation equipment and optimizing production processes—primarily at its Vietnamese manufacturing subsidiary—while gradually reassigning production personnel. CammSys Corp. expects the trend of improved profitability to continue in the second half of the year, as it maintains supply for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy S27 and A Series—scheduled for release next year—while the benefits of production efficiency continue to take effect. Kwon Hyun-jin, CEO of CammSys Corp., stated, “Our return to profitability in the first half of the year is the result of expanded orders centered on flagship models, profitability-focused business operations, and efforts to improve production efficiency.” He added, “In the second half, we will strengthen the competitiveness of our mobile camera business while also securing future growth engines by generating tangible results in new businesses—such as those being pursued through our Indonesian subsidiary—as well as in our robotics camera and facial recognition camera businesses.”
