On the 15th, Man on the Bun announced that it will host the “Cheongdam Vintage Market” at “Man on the Bun Cheongdam” from today through the 19th, in collaboration with renowned domestic and international vintage shops.

Opened last year, “Man on the Bun Cheongdam” is a flagship store that embodies the Namsung lifestyle the brand pursues. Going beyond a simple retail space, it is continuously expanding the brand experience by presenting content that reflects the tastes of its premium customer base.

This event was conceived by Kim Si-hyung, Creative Director of Man on the Bun, to evoke the nostalgia of the flea markets he experienced as a child in Los Angeles (LA). It reinterprets the free-spirited vintage vibe of those local markets within the luxurious atmosphere unique to Man on the Bun Cheongdam.

In the fashion industry, interest in vintage items is growing as consumers increasingly seek out products that set them apart from the crowd. Among younger generations, the process of hunting for unique finds at vintage shops has become a form of recreational culture in its own right.

According to reports by organizations such as the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the global secondhand fashion and luxury goods market is projected to grow from $210 billion (approximately 310 trillion won) last year to $360 billion (approximately 531 trillion won) by 2030.

A total of four brands are participating in this event: the luxury vintage watch collector “Yongjeong Collection,” the vintage eyewear specialty store “Old Good Things,” the vintage custom artist “Didier,” and the Los Angeles-based vintage store “Silver Lake Market.”

The event will feature limited-edition sales of approximately 50 vintage watches, about 40 pairs of vintage eyewear, and 15 items from the “Man on the Bun” vintage special collection. Additionally, a trunk show will be held to showcase vintage items specially curated for “Man on the Bun” and jewelry imported from the United States.

Promotions for visitors have also been arranged. During the event, adult customers visiting the store will be offered a welcome drink made with the American bourbon whiskey “Michters.” Customers who purchase vintage items will receive a limited-edition eco-bag and two types of stickers while supplies last. On the first day of the event, a photo booth will be available for visitors to take commemorative photos.

A representative from Man on the Bun stated, “Recently, there has been a clear trend among Namsung customers to actively express their tastes and discernment through fashion,” adding, “Since we’ve carefully curated a selection of high-end vintage shops from both Korea and abroad, customers will be able to enjoy the thrill of discovering hidden treasures.”
