(Photo courtesy of BTOB Company)(Photo courtesy of BTOB Company)“TEMPERATURE” is a single consisting of three tracks: the title track “Icy & Spicy,” the B-side “KO,” and a “Rush” version of “KO.” Lee Min-hyuk personally participated in writing the lyrics and composing all the songs. Their agency, BTOB Company, stated, “This new release stems from the intuitive concept of ‘expressing emotions through temperature,’” adding, “We’ve translated the invisible flow of emotions—from the icy tension to the gradually rising heat, and finally the energy that bursts forth like an explosion—into music.” The title track, “Icy & Spicy,” features powerful bass and brass sounds. It was inspired by the world-renowned racing series “F1” (Formula 1). The track “KO” is an industrial hip-hop track centered on the theme of a burning determination to prove one’s own worth. It draws its motif from the homonym between “Ko” (the surname of mixed martial artist Ko Seok-hyun) and the boxing term “K.O.” (Knockout). The “Rush” version was produced with an even faster tempo to maximize the auditory pleasure for listeners. This marks Lee Min-hyuk’s first solo release in about a year, following the release of his mini-album “HOOK” last July. All tracks from “Temperature” and the music video will be released at 6 p.m. today via various online music platforms.
