[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] #IGLOO Corporation, a provider of AI-based security operations and analytics platforms, has surpassed 130 cumulative registered patents, strengthening its competitive edge in proprietary core security technologies.
The company is rapidly translating its research and development (R&D) achievements into intellectual property rights, securing 11 new patents in the first half of this year alone.
Its competitiveness in the AI field is particularly notable. IGLOO Corporation began AI research in 2015 and has secured 48 AI-related patents to date. These technologies utilize large language models (LLMs) and machine learning to improve threat detection accuracy and reduce “hallucinations” in generative AI, thereby providing security professionals with reliable analysis results in natural language. This enhances the reliability of security-specialized AI agents and improves the efficiency of security operations.
The company also holds approximately 50 patents in its core business areas of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Operations and Automated Threat Response (SOAR), and Extended Detection and Response (XDR).
Notable examples include technologies that collect and analyze data generated by large-scale, heterogeneous security devices in real time to automatically prioritize responses, and automate security response procedures according to standardized playbooks. This allows security professionals to reduce repetitive alert analysis tasks and focus on responding to actual threats.
Building on its accumulated core technologies, IGLOO Corporation is accelerating the implementation of an Autonomous SOC—the final stage of security operations. To this end, the company is pursuing an “Agentic SOC” strategy that fosters collaboration between humans and AI.
In the Agentic AI environment—the core of the Agentic SOC—multiple AI agents perform not only threat detection and analysis but also response planning, control of external security solutions, and the execution of actual countermeasures. The company aims to first implement an Agentic SOC by integrating security-specialized AI agents and ultimately achieve a fully autonomous SOC.
An IGLOO Corporation official stated, “We plan to continuously secure core proprietary technologies in the fields of AI and security to expand our core intellectual property (IP) that will lead next-generation security operations.”
