[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] On the 16th, HanyangSecurities assessed that Viatron Technologies, Inc.(141000)is in the process of a full-scale transformation from a display equipment manufacturer to a semiconductor equipment manufacturer. The firm did not provide an investment opinion or target price. The previous day’s closing price was 8,540 won. Lee Jun-seok, an analyst at HanyangSecurities, stated, “Viatron Technologies, Inc. should now be reevaluated as a semiconductor equipment company,” adding, “While its existing display equipment serves as the foundation supporting current earnings, semiconductor equipment will be the key driver determining future growth and valuation.” Based on rapid heating and precision temperature control technologies, Viatron Technologies, Inc. is pursuing the commercialization of semiconductor front-end and back-end equipment for 3D DRAM, including Epitaxial-CVD, Hybrid Bonders, LABs, and Die Bonders. Through its subsidiary, Viatron Systems, the company is expanding its product lineup to include Vacuum Laminators for FC-BGA, thereby broadening its semiconductor equipment portfolio. The analyst particularly highlighted the potential to benefit from the expansion of the 3D DRAM market. “As it becomes increasingly difficult to improve performance in conventional DRAM through miniaturization alone, 3D DRAM technology—which stacks cells and transistors vertically—is gaining attention,” he explained, adding, “Viatron Technologies, Inc. is developing VCSEL laser-based RT-CVD deposition equipment for this purpose.” He continued, “We are developing technology that can reduce processing time by about four times compared to existing equipment, and our key differentiator is combining deposition, inspection, and measurement functions into a single system to boost productivity.” He added, “We plan to conduct promotional activities targeting major memory manufacturers in the second half of the year, followed by the provision of demonstration equipment and joint development initiatives.” He also projected that revenue from semiconductor equipment will begin to materialize in earnest. The analyst stated, “We expect approximately 2 billion won in revenue from semiconductor equipment, including RT-CVD, in the second half of this year, and our goal is to expand the share of semiconductor equipment revenue to more than 15% of the total by 2027.” He added, “If customer evaluations of our new equipment and our supply references expand, the company will be reevaluated as a comprehensive semiconductor equipment manufacturer, moving beyond its current status as a display equipment provider.”
