Kang Jun-kyu will appear in the play *Dead Poets Society*, which opens on the 19th at the Woori Card Hall in the NOL Theater Daehak-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
In the play, Kang Jun-kyu will take on the role of “Charlie Dalton,” a character whose passion for freedom is greater than anyone else’s, portraying a figure brimming with confidence and a spirit of adventure. In particular, drawing on his solid acting skills, Kang Jun-kyu is set to perfectly embody “Charlie Dalton,” the character with the most improvisational and explosive energy.
Additionally, Kang Jun-kyu shared his thoughts through his agency, saying, “Since this is a production I’ve been preparing for a long time, I feel both excitement and nervousness as the opening night approaches,” and added, “As this is a work that has been loved by many for a long time, I prepared with the desire to deliver a great performance.”
He went on to express his affection for the character, saying, “I’ve worked hard to naturally convey Charlie’s unique honesty and energy on stage.”
Kang Jun-kyu added, “I hope the audience can feel the passion of youth and the meaning of freedom through this performance, and I will do my best every moment until the final show to deliver a great performance. I ask for your continued interest and support.”
Kang Jun-kyu made a strong impression last month in the drama *The Legend of the Mess Sergeant*, where he played Joo Sang-wook of the “Taste Boys.” Having demonstrated his ability to portray distinctive characters and his steady acting skills, Kang Jun-kyu is now expanding his scope to the theater stage with *Dead Poets Society*.
Having captivated viewers with his exceptional character analysis in every project, all eyes are on what new facets he will reveal on the theater stage, where he interacts with the audience in real time.
The play “Dead Poets Society” will run from the 18th through September 13.
