The production team announced his departure by displaying the message, “We thank Investigator Jin Tae-hyun for being with us for the past two years.” Jin Tae-hyun did not deliver a separate farewell or share any final thoughts during the broadcast.
In the preview for the next episode that followed, Lee Dong-geon made his first appearance as the new family investigator. Dressed in a suit, he greeted the audience with, “I look forward to working with you all,” and the preview also showed him looking surprised as he watched the stories of the participating couples.
Jin Tae-hyun served as the husband’s side investigator and an assistant in the Couple Psychology Department for approximately two years, starting with the show’s premiere in August 2024. Lee Dong-gun, who has joined the show as Jin Tae-hyun’s replacement, is an actor who has personally experienced divorce. He married actress Jo Yoon-hee in 2017 and had a daughter with her, but the couple divorced in 2020.
