[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama “Manager Kim” has surpassed a 20% viewership rating for four consecutive episodes.

According to Nielsen Korea on the 18th, the nationwide viewership rating for the seventh episode of “Manager Kim,” which aired the previous day, was recorded at 21.9%.
Previously, the drama first broke into the 20% range with a 21.6% rating in its fourth episode. It maintained the 20% range with the fifth episode (20.5%) and reached its highest viewership rating with the sixth episode (22.3%).
“Director Kim” is an action drama that follows Director Kim (played by So Ji-sub), a legendary former special operations agent who had been living the life of an ordinary father while working as the head of a bank’s accounting team, as he returns to the battlefield to rescue his only daughter, Min-ji (played by Seo Su-min).
Episode 7 depicted Director Kim, along with Seong Han-su (played by Choi Dae-hoon) and Park Jin-cheol (played by Yoon Kyung-ho), rescuing his daughter Min-ji and then tracking down Ju Kang-chan (played by Joo Sang-wook), the mastermind behind the kidnapping, to bring him to justice.
Toward the end of the episode, after saying goodbye to Min-ji and turning himself in, Director Kim was dragged off to North Korea by unidentified men and found himself in a life-or-death crisis, heightening viewers’ curiosity about future developments.
"Director Kim" is an adaptation of the Naver webtoon of the same name. It brings together writer Nam Dae-jung, known for works such as "The Great Wish," "30 Days," and "First Ride," and director Lee Seung-young, known for "Wonderful World," "Tracer," and "Voice 2." Episode 8 will air tonight at 9:50 p.m.
