The production team of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Director Kim” released stills on the 18th showing Seong Han-su (played by Choi Dae-hoon) and Park Jin-cheol (played by Yoon Kyung-ho) abandoned in a desolate, empty field, bound with thick iron chains and handcuffs.
In the seventh episode that aired the previous day, the story depicted Director Kim (played by So Ji-sub) forcing Joo Kang-chan (played by Joo Sang-wook) to his knees, safely bringing his daughter Min-ji (played by Seo Su-min) home, and then surrendering to the Special Missions Bureau. Meanwhile, Seong Han-su and Park Jin-cheol were also arrested, and the episode concluded with Director Kim waking up in a North Korean interrogation room.
The stills from Episode 8, released amid this situation, capture the harrowing sight of Seong Han-su, clad in a taekwondo uniform caked in dust, and Park Jin-cheol, whose feet are bound. Both men are shown wearing gags, sparking curiosity about the circumstances that led to them being abandoned in the wasteland.
A drama official stated, “During filming, Choi Dae-hoon and Yoon Kyung-ho portrayed the extreme situation of being abandoned in a remote location with such all-out performances that they drew admiration from the crew on set.”
“Director Kim” is planned as a 12-episode series. Episode 8 will air tonight at 9:50 p.m.
