[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Actress Koo Hye-sun has shared her stance on the “hair roller price controversy.”

Koo Hye-sun will appear on Episode 34 of MBN’s “Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night,” airing on the 18th.
During a recent filming session, Koo Hye-sun personally introduced the hair rollers that have been making headlines for selling out, and spoke about her “second life” as an entrepreneur.
Koo Hye-sun’s hair rollers are eco-friendly, reusable products that have been patented and even made it into duty-free stores, but they have also been embroiled in a price controversy. Previously, when the price per unit was set at 13,000 won, some critics pointed out that the price was excessive.
In response, Koo Hye-sun explained, “Our products are on the pricier side. Since mass production is difficult, everything is done by hand and requires up to four stages of processing.”
She continued, “Before creating these products, I was an artist. In art, pricing a piece is highly subjective, but I think I began to study money by stepping away from that subjectivity a bit—calculating things like how much profit remains after multiplying by a certain factor. It made me realize, ‘I didn’t know anything about money at all.’”
Meanwhile, regarding reactions labeling her as a “liar” or someone who “speaks before thinking,” Koo Hye-sun acknowledged, “I’ve heard that a lot,” before adding, “I think it’s important to just say what’s on my mind. If I don’t say it, I won’t do it—simply because I didn’t say it. This is just how I am. I have a very lazy side.”
Referring to the films she produced, she revealed, “They all failed, but those failures built my inner strength and toughened me up. Thanks to that, I’m not really afraid of failure anymore.”
Meanwhile, when host Kim Ju-ha asked her about her future goals, Koo Hye-sun pondered for a long time before answering, “Resisting my cravings,” which showcased her quirky charm and had the entire studio in stitches.
