In Episode 5 of the KBS 2TV Saturday-Sunday miniseries “The Perfection of Marriage,” airing on the 18th, an action-packed scene unfolds as Kang Tae-ju (played by Namgoong Min) runs and rolls across a construction site to evade the police chasing him, even firing warning shots.
“The Perfection of Marriage” is a crime thriller centered on Kang Tae-ju, a neurosurgeon who engages in an extreme battle with criminals to rescue his wife, who was kidnapped just before their divorce.
In Episode 4, which aired on the 12th, Kang Tae-ju broke through the police cordon, sped away in a car, and, after a fierce struggle in which he even seized a firearm, met with Lee Soo-hyung (played by Park Byung-eun)—whose wife had been murdered—and began taking concrete action to rescue Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol).
Meanwhile, stills from Episode 5 released today show Kang Tae-ju facing off against a large contingent of police officers gathered at a construction site. A drama representative stated, “Namgoong Min personally performed the high-difficulty action scenes, vividly conveying Kang Tae-ju’s desperation. By portraying the heart-wrenching desperation of Kang Tae-ju—once an ordinary neurosurgeon—who throws himself into the fray to rescue his kidnapped wife through realistic action sequences, the drama has enhanced its credibility," the representative said, urging viewers to tune in.
Episode 5 of “The Perfection of Marriage” will air tonight at 9:20 p.m. The drama set a new series high with a nationwide viewership rating of 7.2% (according to Nielsen Korea) in its fourth episode.
