[Edaily Reporter Kim Se-yeon ] Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce company, visited a leading HankookCosmeticsManufacturing and logistics facility. The visit was intended to observe and understand firsthand the process by which HankookCosmetics products are produced and distributed, in order to meet global demand.

APR(278470)APR announced on the 19th that key executives from Amazon’s Global Logistics Operations and Supply Chain Strategy (FBA) division recently visited the “APR Factory Campus 2” in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. The delegation included P.Y.S. Sarauji, President of Amazon Global FBA, along with other executives from the Supply Chain Strategy division.
This visit was organized to deepen their understanding of K-Beauty manufacturing and logistics systems amid growing demand for K-Beauty in global markets.
During the visit, Amazon officials toured the surface mount technology (SMT) process, assembly and inspection lines, and logistics center at the APR Factory Campus 2, examining the production facilities and logistics automation systems.
Amazon FBA executives showed great interest in APR’s overall production and logistics operations. The company explained that they were particularly interested in the manufacturing process for Medicube beauty devices, the smart factory-based automation system, and the integrated operational system that directly manages everything from production to logistics.
APR is the first Korean beauty company to have in-house manufacturing capabilities for home beauty devices. The APR Factory’s Second Campus, completed in May 2024, is responsible for producing MediCube’s AGE-R home beauty devices. It has an annual production capacity of up to 6 million beauty devices.
In addition, APR monitors the entire production process in real time using a smart factory system. The company is also establishing a data-driven manufacturing management system. It is continuously working to enhance the system for greater stability and improved production efficiency. Automation of production lines is also being expanded in phases. In the future, the company plans to extend automation to include the assembly and inspection processes for certain beauty device product lines.
An APR official stated, “This visit demonstrates the growing interest in K-Beauty and APR’s manufacturing and logistics competitiveness in the global market,” adding, “We plan to continue advancing our smart manufacturing and logistics systems to reliably meet increasing global demand.”
