[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] LaonPeople Inc.(300120)announced on the 20th that expectations for its medium- to long-term growth are rising as its generative AI (artificial intelligence) supply business and global golf operations are on an upward trajectory, driving increases in both revenue and profits.

According to LaonPeople Inc.’s business report, revenue has increased by more than 20% annually over the past three years. In the first quarter of this year, profit margins improved as fixed costs and selling, general, and administrative expenses (SG&A) decreased; operating losses and net losses were significantly reduced, and the company is projected to deliver tangible results starting in the second quarter.
In line with this, LaonPeople Inc. recently secured 27 billion won in funding from the Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO), establishing a solid foundation of cash and cash equivalents that allows the company to focus on new businesses such as generative AI and golf sensors. The company plans to leverage this financial strength to enhance not only its technological competitiveness but also its growth potential.
The company previously stated that it had demonstrated its technological competitiveness and established a revenue base by signing a supply contract with SamsungElectronics for a “smartphone video error detection solution.” It explained that its related businesses are on an upward trajectory, having secured numerous contracts in the first half of this year alone as it expands its generative AI supply business, primarily with global conglomerates.
In addition, the company maintains that the rapid expansion of its golf sensor business—a core pillar of growth—is not only improving profitability but also having a positive impact on its medium- to long-term performance trends. By signing supply contracts with major partners in North America, Europe, and Australia, the company is securing a stable overseas sales base. Analysts predict that the pace of performance improvement will accelerate further as its global business gains full momentum, noting that supply volumes in the first quarter alone exceeded the company’s total overseas revenue for the previous year.
LaonPeople Inc. official stated, “As the trend of improved performance aligns with a stable financial foundation—including the resolution of liquidity issues—this will have a positive effect on mid- to long-term growth,” adding, “We will do our utmost to enhance shareholder value through improved performance, increased corporate value, and a recovery in our stock price.”
