DaelimTrading explained that the Japanese housing equipment market is dominated by local companies such as LIXIL, TOTO, and Panasonic, and that only companies with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) certification, strict quality control, and the ability to ensure a stable supply can establish long-term supply relationships.
Amid this landscape, DaelimTrading continues to collaborate with major Japanese clients based on its accumulated technological expertise and quality competitiveness.
DaelimTrading’s business in Japan began in 1983 with a technical partnership with the Japanese faucet manufacturer INAX (now LIXIL), which led to the development of Korea’s first single-lever mixer faucet. Since then, the company has expanded its client base to include Takagi in 1998, Janis in 2009, and Water Stand in 2018.
DaelimTrading has obtained certification under “JIS B 2061,” the Japanese standard for faucets. Based on this, the company operates a quality and production management system for products intended for the Japanese market, including pillar-type faucets, deck-mounted and wall-mounted single-lever mixer faucets, and floor-mounted faucets.
The company is strengthening its quality management system by maintaining domestic products at a level that exceeds national standards (KC) and applying separate inspection standards to export products.
A DaelimTrading official stated, “Building on the trust we have built with our Japanese clients over more than 30 years and our competitive quality, we will strengthen cooperation with existing clients and continue to enhance our competitiveness in the Japanese market by expanding our lineup of high-value-added products.”
