[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] Naver (NAVER(035420)) is launching a project to shine a spotlight on the blogs of celebrities who have remained relatively unknown until now. The strategy aims to expand users’ content discovery and revitalize the blog ecosystem by introducing blogs that capture the daily lives and thoughts of these celebrities—aspects not typically seen on TV or stage.

Naver announced that it will run the “Blogger Rediscovery Project: We Have Blogs” for 12 weeks starting on the 20th.

This project is a weekly series that introduces one well-known figure—such as a celebrity or sports star—and one popular blogger who has built expertise in a specific field, such as food or economics. It will highlight the reasons they started blogging, their signature content, and new sides of their personalities that can only be seen on their blogs.

The first featured personality is rapper Nucksal. In addition to his music and broadcasting activities, Nucksal consistently documents his daily life and thoughts on his blog, engaging with approximately 63,000 followers. He has gained popularity through his “Nucksal’s Gap” series, in which he shares stories about the people around him from his own unique perspective.

Naver plans to continue introducing, one by one, not only celebrities who document their daily lives offstage and off the field but also popular bloggers who have consistently covered specific fields such as food and economics. A weekly event where users can guess the next featured blogger will also be held.

A user participation event has also been organized. Until October 11, users can add the bloggers featured in the project as followers, repost the introduction on their own blog, and leave a comment confirming their participation. Among participants, 2,000 users who participate at least once will be randomly selected to receive 3,000 Naver Pay points, and 800 users who participate three or more times will receive 5,000 points.

Han Jun, Naver’s UGC Community Leader, said, “Blogs contain a wide variety of content, ranging from the candid daily lives of well-known public figures to the in-depth records of creators who have long explored specific fields.” He added, “We hope this project will help users discover new blogs and interests, and serve as an opportunity for bloggers who have been actively posting to connect with more readers.”

He added, “We plan to continue providing various forms of support to foster a blog ecosystem where new stories and connections continue to flourish.”
