[Edaily Reporter Lee Jeong Hun ] KOSDAQ-listed company SGA Co.,Ltd(049470)announced on the 20th that it has been selected as the lead contractor for the “2026 Railway Facilities Integrated Information System (RAFIS) Maintenance Services” project commissioned by the Korea National Railroad Corporation. This contract marks a repeat win following the 2024 project, enabling BITPLANET to ensure operational continuity for the nation’s core railway infrastructure information system while establishing a stable revenue base for its system integration (SI) division.

RAFIS is the Korea National Railroad Corporation’s core information system that systematically manages the full lifecycle history of railway facilities, from installation to inspection, maintenance, and improvement. Since its launch in March 2024, the system has undergone application stabilization and infrastructure architecture optimization and is now considered to have entered a phase of tangible operational efficiency improvements.

BITPLANET has been performing RAFIS maintenance since 2024 as part of a consortium with Dream ICT and Allforland. For this 2026 project, it has formed a new consortium with LTMetric and KL Information & Communications, with BITPLANET participating as the lead contractor with a 50% stake, as in the previous project. The total project value is approximately 6.1 billion won, representing an increase of about 27.1% compared to the previous year’s project (approximately 4.8 billion won). The project duration is 21 months from the contract signing date.

There are three key tasks that the BITPLANET consortium will focus on in this project. First, the consortium plans to comprehensively update approximately 230,000 facilities that are not properly registered in RAFIS to ensure the consistency of the collected data.

Next, the consortium intends to reorganize the complex RAFIS menu structure to align with workflows, thereby enhancing user convenience, and to strengthen security by improving the user access authorization system and identity verification procedures. Finally, the consortium plans to build a Management Information System (MIS) that allows for at-a-glance monitoring of facility maintenance status and to enhance statistical services, thereby improving the operational efficiency of officials at the Korea National Railway Corporation and the Korea Railroad Corporation.

Park Jae-han, Head of the SI Business Division at BITPLANET, stated, “Through the 2024 RAFIS project, we laid the foundation for system stabilization, and having our project execution capabilities and technical expertise recognized by the Korea National Railroad Corporation, we successfully secured the contract again this year.” He added, “In this project, we will focus on substantially improving data reliability and the convenience of field staff, thereby establishing RAFIS as a best practice for public information systems in Korea.”

With this contract win, BITPLANET has further solidified its track record in the national railway infrastructure information systems sector.
