[Edaily Reporter YU JIN-HEE ] Huons Group has successfully concluded the launch event for its botulinum toxin product “HuTox,” targeting mainland China’s massive cosmetic surgery market of 1.4 billion people, and has officially set sail on its local export campaign. Since obtaining final product approval from Chinese authorities earlier this year, the company has partnered with major local distributors to host large-scale academic exchange events, demonstrating the superior competitiveness of global K-Beauty botulinum toxin products.
Humedix Co., Ltd.(200670), Huons Co., Ltd.’s aesthetic division, and @Huons BioPharma, its botulinum toxin subsidiary, announced on the 20th that they held the “HuTox Launch Symposium” on the 16th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.

This large-scale symposium was hosted by iMaker Technology, Huons Co., Ltd.’s sole exclusive partner in China. The event was attended by a large number of leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons from across China, as well as key figures in the aesthetic industry, who celebrated the official launch of HuTox and engaged in in-depth academic discussions.
Through this academic event, Humedix Co., Ltd. and Huons Biopharma further expanded their network of key medical professionals in China while firmly establishing the value of HuTox in the global market.
Notably, Dr. Kim Geon-woo, director of Cheongdam Cellinic Clinic—a renowned cosmetic surgery clinic in South Korea—was invited as a keynote speaker and took the stage during the day’s sessions. Dr. Kim highlighted the latest treatment trends for botulinum toxin in the global medical aesthetics market and shared detailed insights into safe and effective administration practices and product management know-how from real-world clinical settings, capturing the full attention of the local medical professionals.
HuTox is a cosmetic and therapeutic pharmaceutical product developed using advanced bacterial strain purification technology. Through global clinical trials, it has been validated for its excellent efficacy and tolerability, including the temporary improvement of glabellar lines and periorbital wrinkles.
iMaker, the company exclusively responsible for local distribution in China, is a leading firm that secured exclusive import and distribution rights for all of China—including Macau and Hong Kong—from Huons Co., Ltd. in 2022. After leading rigorous local clinical trials, the company obtained final marketing authorization for HuTox from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) last January, thereby breaking into the Chinese market, which is notoriously difficult to enter.
During this successful launch process, Humedix Co., Ltd.’s robust domestic and international academic network played a pivotal role. Leveraging its solid pool of specialist speakers and physician networks, Humedix assembled an optimal lineup of domestic lecturers to provide comprehensive support for seamless academic communication across all fronts.
A representative from Huons Global Co., Ltd. emphasized, “This HuTox launch symposium serves as a meaningful stepping stone to objectively demonstrate the drug’s academic value and global clinical cases to medical professionals following approval from local Chinese regulatory authorities,” adding, “Moving forward, we will continue to work closely with iMaker to deploy multifaceted academic marketing tools and rapidly boost our global brand dominance.”
