FNC announced on the 20th, “CEO Kim Yu-sik purchased 20,878 shares of the company’s common stock on the open market.”
FNC CEO Kim Yu-sik stated, “Over the past three years, we have laid the groundwork for a turnaround by improving the company’s fundamentals and strengthening selected core businesses,” adding, “Over the next three years, we will achieve a ‘V’-shaped earnings rebound through profit enhancement and build a foundation for the company to take a step up.”
It is reported that this on-market purchase was made to convey to the market the company’s confidence in its mid- to long-term growth potential and its commitment to responsible management. CEO Kim, along with key executives and related parties, is currently considering additional stock purchases.
FNC ENTERTAINMENT Co., Ltd. is strengthening its growth foundation by reorganizing its business portfolio around core businesses such as music, actor management, and drama production.
While maintaining a stable earnings base through the consistent activities of bands FT Island and CNBLUE, the music business is continuing its rapid growth, driven by the success of key artists such as P1Harmony and N.Flying.
Actor Jung Hae-in is continuing his steady activities, including appearing in the Netflix series “Such a Shitty Love,” which premieres on the 7th of next month.
FNC is currently producing the Netflix Original “Love Affair,” and FNC-affiliated director Kim Seong-yong is preparing his next project. Both works are scheduled to air next year.
FNC’s consolidated revenue for the first quarter of this year increased by 140% compared to the same period last year. In particular, revenue from the music division rose by 186% year-over-year, driving the improvement in performance.
FNC plans to further strengthen its competitiveness in the music business by expanding the activities of its major artists and fostering the growth of new artists. At the same time, the company intends to maintain stable profitability in its actor management business and continue to develop its drama production business to support its financial performance.
Meanwhile, NC’s stock price closed at 2,010 won on the 20th, down 4.96% from the previous day’s closing price.
