Regarding the new song, the agency explained, “It’s a summer song that combines Jennie’s deeper vocals with the languid texture created by lo-fi guitar sounds and vintage electric keyboards.” They added, “Jennie personally wrote the lyrics and directed the music video, infusing the track with her own unique style and sensibility.” Previously, Jennie previewed this new song on stage at various international music festivals, including “The Governors Ball Music Festival 2026” in the U.S., “Roskilde Festival” in Denmark, “Offner Festival” in Poland, and “2026 Mad Cool Festival” in Spain. As a result, videos from these festival performances went viral on various short-form video platforms even before the song’s official release, generating significant word-of-mouth buzz. Her agency stated, “We decided to officially release the track due to an overwhelming number of requests from global fans.” Meanwhile, Jennie is gaining popularity with “Dracula,” a collaboration with the Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala. “Dracula” is a song released by Tame Impala last October. After a remix featuring Jennie was released last February, it gained traction on short-form video platforms and made a comeback on the charts. The song reached No. 5 on the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart.
