According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 21st, “Hope” drew 143,062 viewers on the 20th. Its cumulative audience count stands at 2,272,733.
Despite mixed reviews, “Hope” is maintaining its No. 1 position and dominating the box office.
Second place went to Universal Pictures’ “Minions & Monsters.” It added 16,807 viewers that day, bringing its cumulative total to 391,583. Disney’s “Moana” drew 11,094 viewers.
Following them, *The Pupil*, starring Shin Min-a, and Disney·Pixar’s *Toy Story 5* took fourth and fifth place, respectively, continuing their long-running success.
While “Hope” has maintained the No. 1 spot at the box office for six consecutive days, new releases are also poised to make their mark. As of 8:18 a.m. on the 21st, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” secured 272,696 advance ticket sales ahead of its release, taking the top spot in advance ticket sales. Director Christopher Nolan’s new film, “The Odyssey,” ranks third with 73,864 advance ticket sales. “Hope” secured second place with 148,728 advance ticket sales.
With fierce competition expected in the summer box office, all eyes are on whether “Hope” can maintain its box office momentum.
