[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] "The Marine Who Hunts Ghosts" will premiere on the 22nd.
The production team behind the new YouTube occult series “Ghost-Hunting Marines” has confirmed its premiere for the 22nd. “Ghost-Hunting Marines” is a midsummer horror-themed occult exploration variety show in which former Marines Kwak Beom (1027th Class), Song Jae-hee (879th Class), and Gree (Kim Dong-hyun, 1308th Class) team up with a shaman to investigate real-life haunted locations and urban legends.
The poster released alongside the premiere announcement features the three “former Marines” in a solemn pose, wearing the red T-shirts symbolic of the Marine Corps. Kwak Beom, with his fists clenched and a lively gaze; Song Jae-hee, exuding resolute charisma; and Gree, standing with his arms crossed and a confident expression—all display the Marine Corps’ spirit of never backing down in the face of ghosts.
The addition of the witty tagline “Ghost, you’re next!”—a phrase symbolic of the Marine Corps—further heightens curiosity by foreshadowing a head-on showdown with the ghost.

The teaser video, set to be released on the 21st, previews the “Marines” as they navigate a mix of laughter and tension. While driving up a mountain road in the pouring rain, the three couldn’t hide their anxiety, repeatedly asking, “Is that it?” But they soon drew laughter by standing up to the ghost, boldly shouting, “We’re Marines!” and “Yikes!”
Later, at the site where they set out to find the water spirit, a shaman warns them, “Why did you come here? Do you know where you are?” They immediately shout, “Let’s get out of here!” and turn the car around—a scene that caused roars of laughter as the Marines’ swagger vanishes in an instant, replaced by a sudden, terrifying panic. Expectations are high to see what kind of fun the unpredictable paranormal experiences and the “Marines”’ banter will deliver.
With the recent surge in interest in the Netflix occult drama *Donggung* and the tvN occult rom-com *Creepy Romance*, all eyes are on whether the newly launched occult variety show *Ghost-Hunting Marines* will capture viewers’ attention. “Ghost-Hunting Marines” will premiere on E Channel’s YouTube channel at 9:00 p.m. on the 22nd and will air on E Channel at 12:00 p.m. on the 30th. After that, it will be available every Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. on E Channel’s YouTube channel and every Thursday at 12:00 p.m. on E Channel.
