With this contract, GREEN PLUS Co., Ltd has now secured a track record of winning bids and implementing smart farm projects in all metropolitan regions nationwide, including Jeju Island. The company has also laid the groundwork for future expansion into the Jeju smart farm market, using this first smart farm project in the region as a stepping stone.
The Jeju Smart Farm Education Center will be built on the site of the Agricultural Seed and Seedling Center in Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju City. Upon completion, it is expected to serve as an educational hub where local farmers in Jeju can learn and practice smart agriculture technologies without having to travel outside the province.
GREEN PLUS Co., Ltd plans to build educational and practical training facilities suited to Jeju’s climate and farming environment, leveraging its accumulated expertise in advanced greenhouse design and construction. In particular, the company intends to ensure the facility’s durability and operational stability through design and construction that account for Jeju’s unique characteristics, such as strong winds, high humidity, and salt damage.
