On the 21st, MC Mong posted a concert poster on his
social media account
, announcing that he will hold a solo concert titled “Ice-Kkeki” for three days from the 14th to the 16th of next month at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
In a post on social media, he stated, “To avoid hiding amid speculation and misunderstandings,” adding, “A singer only needs to prove himself on stage. I want to meet you through my music.” He continued, “If you want to see me, come. I’ll show you what a real heatwave feels like. Please show me your ‘Gakki’ spirit.”
This marks MC Mong’s first solo concert in about four years, following “Monster Corporation – 2nd Shareholders’ Meeting: Halloween Week” in October 2022. The concert is drawing particular attention as it is his first performance since he became embroiled in controversy over various allegations.
Previously, MBC’s “PD Notebook” raised allegations of embezzlement of company funds and illegal gambling in the U.S. involving MC Mong and Cha Ga-won, Chairman of Piak Group and CEO of One Hundred Label, in an episode titled “MC Mong and the Chairman’s K-Pop Trade Secrets” that aired last month.
One Hundred Label is an entertainment agency established by MC Mong and Chairman Cha in December 2023. MC Mong has denied the allegations raised by “PD Notebook,” stating, “I intend to fight the MBC producers with my reputation on the line. I will file a lawsuit seeking damages in the 100 billion won range to hold them accountable.”
