[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] HYBE’s label ADOR released a video on the 22nd to commemorate the 4th anniversary of girl group NewJeans’ debut.

The video was posted on NewJeans’ official YouTube channel. The 59-second clip shows the members gathering one by one on a moonlit summer night, holding hands, smiling brightly, and gazing together in the same direction.
The video drew fans’ attention as it featured not only Hani, Haerin, and Hyein but also Minji, who has not yet confirmed her return to ADOR.
NewJeans debuted on July 22, 2022. They quickly rose to the ranks of top girl groups by scoring back-to-back hits with songs such as “Attention,” “Hype Boy,” and “Ditto.” However, their activities came to a halt when the members entered into a dispute with ADOR over their exclusive contracts.
The members left ADOR without permission in November 2024. Subsequently, three of the five members—Haerin, Hyein, and Hani—ended their exclusive contract dispute last year and returned to ADOR. Daniel’s return to ADOR ultimately fell through, while Minji has continued discussions regarding her return.
Amid this situation, the release of a video featuring NewJeans as a four-member group—including Minji—has heightened fans’ anticipation for their comeback.
ADOR explained to Edaily that day, “This video is commemorative content produced to celebrate NewJeans’ fourth debut anniversary with fans.”
However, the agency did not provide a clear answer when asked whether Minji’s return had been confirmed. ADOR stated, “We plan to announce NewJeans’ specific activity plans and format after discussions with the members are fully concluded.”
