The company is currently working on a project to supply emergency power systems for U.S. telecommunications infrastructure with a global telecommunications tower operator that has been supplying emergency power systems to Africa, and aims to begin full-scale supply starting in 2027.

U.S. telecommunications infrastructure currently operates emergency power systems primarily based on diesel generators and lead-acid batteries; however, demand for a transition to lithium-battery-based systems—which offer superior energy efficiency and longevity—has been growing recently. The company explained that this project is significant as it represents an expansion of its collaboration with existing global clients from Africa to the North American market.

AMOGREENTECH Co., Ltd. supplies emergency power systems for telecommunications equipment to major South Korean telecom carriers and, in line with the Japanese government’s strengthened Business Continuity Plan (BCP) policies, plans to begin supplying products to major Japanese telecom carriers such as SoftBank and KDDI starting in the third quarter of this year. Recently, the company also began supplying products to a global UPS manufacturer in South America.

Emergency power systems for telecommunications infrastructure are critical facilities that ensure the stable operation of communication networks even during emergencies such as power outages or interruptions in power supply. As these systems are directly linked to the continuity of telecommunications services, global telecommunications carriers and telecommunications infrastructure operators apply strict standards regarding safety, reliability, quality, and durability.

A company official stated, “This U.S. project is significant in that it expands our scope of cooperation to the U.S. operations of the same global client, building on the supply experience we’ve accumulated in Africa,” adding, “We plan to secure a track record of stable supply in the U.S. market and, based on this, expand our business reach into global telecommunications infrastructure markets such as Europe and the Middle East.”
